She Wears A Crown 2019

She Wears a Crown is a gala celebrating the stories of dynamic African-American women of Austin, Texas: women who have significantly impacted our city.

Each is a queen in her own right, because she uses her gifts and talents to serve and benefit our city, and is held in high regard as a leader in her field.

The evening's programming introduces an alternative narrative of African-American life to the Austin community at large and showcases leaders of our community in ways rarely seen or acknowledged in mainstream society.
